Terms of service, written to be read.

The agreement between you and eHisaab — what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Last updated: 17 Ashoj 2083 (17 September 2026)

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you (the business owner or staff member who signs up) and eHisaab, and they apply from the moment you create an account. By using the app you accept them. If you use eHisaab on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for that business.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information — business name, VAT/PAN details and contact details should be true and kept up to date.
  • Keep your password safe — you are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Invite people you trust — staff you invite act under the role you give them (owner, admin, accountant or viewer), and you are responsible for what they do in your books.

3. Your records are your responsibility

eHisaab is a tool for recording and presenting your accounts. You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you enter, and for meeting your tax and legal filing obligations. The app's reports, VAT and TDS calculations are aids — they are not a substitute for advice from your accountant or tax advisor.

4. Fair use

  • Use eHisaab only for lawful business bookkeeping.
  • Do not attempt to access another business's data, probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission, or interfere with how it runs.
  • Do not resell access to the service without our written agreement.

5. Plans and billing

  • Starter is free and includes the core bookkeeping features; some advanced features are limited to paid plans.
  • Paid plans (Business, Premium) are billed monthly in advance at the prices shown on our pricing page.
  • You can stop a paid plan at any time; your books stay accessible and you can export everything. Fees already paid for the current month are not refunded.
  • If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until it is resolved.

6. Sharing and public links

Features like public invoice links and payment reminders let you share specific documents with customers and suppliers. You choose what to share; anyone holding the link can view that document, so share links only with the intended recipient.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the service available, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, add or remove features over time. If we change something that matters to your work, we will give reasonable notice in the app or by email.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using eHisaab at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or puts the service or other businesses at risk. Where practical, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

9. Intellectual property

The eHisaab app — its design, code and brand — belongs to us. Your records, documents and business data belong to you; we claim no ownership over them.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, eHisaab is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example lost profit, lost records you could have exported, penalties or interest arising from late tax filings, or claims between you and your customers or suppliers. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Nepal have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. When we do, we will update this page and tell you in the app or by email if a change is significant. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms? Email hello@ehisaab.app or use the contact page.
